Camp Hill, PA – May 1, 2026: HB Global, LLC, the employee-owned parent company of 11 U.S. divisions in the mechanical, infrastructure, and real estate service industries, names Adam Smith as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective May 1, 2026. Bob Whalen will remain Chief Executive Officer.

Adam Smith has been named President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HB Global, while Bob Whalen remains Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Previously, Smith served as Chief Operating Officer of HB Mechanical Group after serving as the Division President of HB McClure for four years.

As President of the organization, Smith will oversee all operations and will be responsible for operational decisions. Whalen will focus on the vision, culture, and high-level strategic priorities of the company.

“I’m excited for our company to operate under this new structure,” says Bob Whalen, CEO of HB Global. “I view Adam as my partner. This is an evolution for our company, and it will allow me to serve in more of a visionary role while Adam takes on the role of the integrator.”

Smith will now be responsible for overseeing the HB Global operational shared services functions that support each of the company’s divisions, and Smith will continue to be responsible for the HB Mechanical business line vertical.

HB Global expects this change to support the rapid growth of the company by ensuring the infrastructure remains operationally strong while maintaining a focus on the culture and people-centric foundation of the organization.
